There are lots of opportunities for some Halloween and Fall fun in Putnam County this week, and we’ve rounded up a list of fun below:

Kids Pumpkin Painting
October 22nd at 5pm
Hosted by Putnam County Parks and Recreation at Valley Park
Admission is free. 50 pumpkins available first come first serve.

Mom & Me Pumpkin Art
October 22nd at  6pm
Hosted by So-Kai Clubhouse at The Commons at Valley Park
$15 each, you will receive a canvas, supplies and instruction!

Mystery Tour-Drive Through Trick or Treat
October 23rd, 24th & 30th 6-8pm and October 31st 2-4pm
Hosted by Putnam County Parks and Recreation at Valley Park
Drive Thru Trick or Treat. Bring your own bag and visit 15 Halloween themed story book, and movie character sets through Valley Park including the Mystery Gang brought to you by The Story Booth Characters! $10 per car.

City of Hurricane Pumpkin Carving
October 24th,  3-5pm
Hosted by the City of Hurricane at Hurricane City Park

Tri-County YMCA’s Boo Drive Thru 
October 24th, 6-8pm
Hosted by the Tri-County YMCA in their Parking Lot
Collect treats without ever leaving your vehicle at this Drive thru Trunk-or-Treat! This event is free and open to the public. They will also be taking donations of canned foods for a local food pantry.

Gritt’s Fall Fun Farm
Thursdays through Sundays in October

Hosted by Gritt’s Farm at their farm in Buffalo, WV
A visit to Putnam County in the Fall isn’t complete without a day at Gritt’s Fall Fun Farm! Pick your own pumpkin, ride a wagon, get lost in a corn maze, shoot apple canons, visit their food truck, take home some kettle corn, and let the kiddos play on slides, bounce, zip line, and so much more.  Advance ticket purchase is encouraged. Open Thursdays through Sundays throughout October.
